Talking The Social Enterprise

We had an amazing three days at CeBIT Australia, the annual technology showcase which really focussed on business solutions this year as opposed to prior years where consumer solutions would also be the focus.

This was one of the reasons we decided to exhibit there and it really worked for us. To get some of the vibe we felt as exhibitors take a look at this video I shot from above our stand in Hall 4 near the “Cloud Theatre”

I was honoured to be asked by the organisers to present on two occasions during CeBIT in their “Webciety” area in the “Online Marketer and Business Theatre”. I spoke about Saasu and how we have consistently doubled the size of our business every year in recent years without spending money on traditional sales and marketing. We’ve achieved this by using our website, blog and connected media (or social media) and of course by having a great product and just as importantly providing passionate service to you all.

The key takeaways of my talk are:

  • service = happiness
  • listen
  • don’t only broadcast
  • be where the people are
  • be helpful
  • build community
  • be memorable
  • by doing so will create an army of sales people passionate about what you’re doing

The presentation was well received and I have been invited to speak again about this at the upcoming Cloudforce Social Enterprise Tour on Thursday 14th June at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre Darling Harbour.
It’s a great opportunity for you to hear first hand how you can leverage the power of social for your own business so do pop by and say hello if you can make that event.

If you have any questions or feedback simply pop them in the comments and I would be happy to respond.
